Number of Grape Vines per Area with Multiple Blocks using Feet as Measurements
Calculate the # of vines needed for planting a vineyard.

This calculator calculates the amount of vines needed for planting a rectangle shaped area. You can add multiple areas of different sizes and use different planting densities for each of these areas.

The Calculator
  1. Click on Add a Block to start first area.
  2. Enter the length of area to be planted (in feet)
  3. Enter the width of the area to be planted (in feet)
  4. Enter the required spacing between rows (in feet)
  5. Enter the required spacing of the vines in the rows (in feet)
  6. Click on the Calculate Button
The Results
  1. # of vines needed based on per acre planting
  2. The size of this area you are planting (in acre or part of)
  3. Number of rows based on spacing of rows (the amount of evenly spaced rows that fit in this area)
  4. The number of vines per row
  5. # of vines needed based on result number 3
If you add multiple blocks the totals from all the calculated blocks will appear in the total results.
  1. Total area planted ( in acre or part of)
  2. Total result from result number 1, # of vines needed based on per acre planting
  3. Total result from result number 5, # of vines needed based on result number 3.
Add as many Rectangle Shaped Blocks as you want, just remember to fill each block as it is added. Empty blocks will confuse the Total Results.
